Quick Tip for Walk Cycles - Joshua Merck
While building a walk cycle, here is a simple trick to switch between a) animating your cycle in place and b) seeing your character walk along the ground. This applies to any cg package.
When you copy animation from a child to its' parent and then inverse the animation, it negates the move altogether. In this case, we want the duck's feet stick on the ground temporarily. You can use this idea for many other rigs.
